Goodbye, Design Trends
Home design trends change every five to ten years. Some trends we miss, while others we're glad to see go. Sometimes they come back, sometimes they don't. If you plan to stay in your home long term, stick to what makes you happy. If you plan to sell soon or renovate, consider avoiding designs that are fading away.
Gray is out, folks! It's time to ditch the gray paint, tile, and flooring. If you're attached to gray, try greige or colors with gray undertones. Realtors say too much gray makes spaces harder to sell.
It's time to say farewell to all-white kitchens, sliding barn doors, and white farmhouse exteriors. While some elements of this style will stick around, we're moving on from this trend. I imagine Joanna Gaines shedding a tear – maybe you are too! Change is exciting, and we're looking forward to embracing new and fresh designs.
Too much open space can feel overwhelming. Separate areas make your home feel bigger, more inviting, and intriguing. If you don't live in a city loft, start creating cozy spaces!
